Walking through the historic center of Naples is like taking a journey through parallel worlds.
The area included in the ancient Walls is a UNESCO heritage because it still preserves the urban characteristics of the Greco-Roman city. Our Tour starts from the Cathedral of Naples, in front of the street that was the ancient Cardine massimo, to discover one of the symbols and Palladio of our city, the Chapel of the Treasure of San Gennaro. Continue on via dei Tribunali, the ancient decuman to reach Piazza San Gaetano, where the Church of San Paolo Maggiore and that of San Lorenzo, seat of the Naples Seats in the era, stand on what was the Dioscuri Temple viceroy. Continue along the characteristic Via dei Pastori, San Gregorio Armeno, to arrive at Via Spaccanapoli (San Biagio dei Librai) which leads to the famous statue of the “Corpo di Napoli”, or the ancient river statue that represented the Nile it gives its name to the square of the same name. Our tour ends in Piazza San Domenico.
During the walk we will make two stops we will have the opportunity to try two typical Neapolitan, the limoncello and the tarallo. The first stop is from “taralleria Napoletana” historical producer of the Neapolitan tarallo. Here we will stop for a drink tasting and discovering the tarallo, a typical Neapolitan product; you will know the history and the “recipe” of the Neapolitan tarallo enjoying an aperitif in the heart of the historical center of Naples. The stop is from Limoné, producer of limoncello, which will make you try the limoncello and show you how this is produced in the factory they have in the historic center of Naples.
A fantastic walk in the heart of the city where you can enjoy and admire all the beauties and secrets of the oldest district. Small alleys, markets, specialties and historical notes. You will be surprised and enter into the true Neapolitan spirit!
