DOBEDOO – Capri is one of the three islands, with Procida and Ischia, in the Gulf of Naples, and it is located in front of the Sorrento peninsula. Along the coastline there are caves and coves that alternate with steep cliffs. The most famous is undoubtedly the Grotta Azzurra (Blue Grotto), where light effects were described by many writers and poets.
In Marina Grande, you can buy a ticket for a sea island tour with a stop at the Grotta Azzurra, where you can admire the famous Faraglioni.
By bus and chair lift you can get to Monte Solaro and admire the Gulf of Naples and Salerno. Other obligatory stops are La Piazzetta di Capri and Via Camerelle, the luxury shopping street with a very high concentration of high fashion shops. Walking along Via Tragara you’ll have the spectacular panorama of the Faraglioni. Other points of interest are Villa Lysis, Villa San Michele, La Certosa di San Giacomo, the Gardens of Augustus and Via Krupp.
To get to Capri from Naples you can, depending on your budget, a ferry or a hydrofoil from Molo Beverello or from Calata Porta di Massa. Alternatively, there are the routes to/from the Amalfi Coast, Salerno and Ischia, which are generally active from mid-April until the end of October.
